Disabling CUPS on Chrome OS

Overview

To reduce user confusion, we suggest disabling local CUPS support on Chrome OS. This will result in only directprint.io defined printers being displayed in the printer list.

The following steps outline how to achieve this:

1. Log in to the G Suite Admin console.
2. Navigate to Device managment -> Chrome Management -> User settings.
3. Search or scroll down to the 'Printing' section.
4. Under 'Native printers management' select 'Do not allow users to add new printers'.
