Debugging printer connections from the client
When clients fail to connect to the printer they will display the following error message
or an error message 'Query Fail' or 'Print failure, client error'
To resolve errors like this it's useful to confirm client (Chromebook) connectivity to the printer.
The directprint.io application contains a basic set of connectivity tests that can be run.
- Open the directprint.io application from the start menu on the Chromebook
- Click on a printer icon alongside the printer name
- A connection test will automatically run and display the results
