Debugging printer connections from the client
When clients fail to connect to the printer they will display the following error message
or an error message 'Query Fail' or 'Print failure, client error'
To resolve errors like this it's useful to confirm client (Chromebook) connectivity to the printer.
The directprint.io application contains a basic set of connectivity tests that can be run.
Steps
- Open the directprint.io application
- On the printers tab, use the three-dotted button to reveal the connection test button
- Click on 'Connection test' to run a connection test.
