Overview
directprint.io supports Xerox Standard Accounting.
This allows administrators to control copy and print volumes using Xerox accounting features embedded in printers and copiers.
Prerequisites:
- Xerox Standard Accounting (XSA) enabled in the copier/printer
- One or more XSA codes defined
- Access to an accounting code for testing
How to enable standard accounting
- Configure the printer using the Xerox optimal settings - follow this guide.
- In the printer list, navigate to the 'Advanced settings' for the Xerox printer/copier:
- If there is an existing PPD attached, hit the 'Remove all options' button
- Under 'Add PPD/Fragment' select, Xerox -> Accounting -> Altalink/Versalink/Workcenter account code
- Force and 'Enable account code' in the 'Printer configuration options' section
- In the directprint.io app, ensure that a valid Xerox Standard Account code is entered in the 'Accounting code' section
